That means the process has to stop the moment a sensor needs to be removed for testing or recalibration: - The tank must be emptied or the line shut down to prevent media from escaping, resulting in unplanned production downtime. - When the sensor goes back in, qualified personnel need to ensure correct reinstallation in compliance with 3-A and EHEDG standards, followed by a full CIP cycle to rule out contamination. ## **There's a Better Way** Anderson-Negele's installation systems with thermowells eliminate these challenges entirely. The immersion sleeve is either an integral part of a pipe section or a permanently welded or screwed-in element of the process or tank.
